Each night a different section of the spontaneous combustion orchestra is required to join creative forces. The first meeting of the improvising minds features the guitarists: master slide guitarist David Tronzo, Vancouver based oud player/guitarist Gordon Grdina, innovative Berlin-based guitarist Christian Kogel and up and coming Halifax guitarist Jeff Torbert.

Versatile and eclectic, saxophonist Damian Nisenson switches easily between jazz and tango, rock, klezmer, African music and musique actuelle. With his stellar trio, Nisenson has developed a singular voice that pushes the limits of contemporary jazz. The Cathedral Church of All Saints is the perfect backdrop for his pulsating rhythms, soaring melodies and intricate arrangements.
